Discover your “WHY”

Discover your “WHY”

“What if I never find my passion?”, I kept asking myself. Why do I get up in the morning? Why do I make breakfast and go to work? What’s the reason for personal development, creating relationships, studying and being a good human being? This might sound nihilistic because I hadn’t found my “WHY”, my purpose. Many people are in the same situation that I was. They don’t know their “WHY”, why they go to work, why their daily life is like this, why their habits don’t match the behaviour they want to develop etc.
It’s emotionally painful to not know your calling, to haven’t found your passion and purpose, your place in this world. Your mind plays tricks and nothing is crystal clear. In the beginning, whatever you do may not feel right to you, whether it’s a business decision or the way you handled a difficult situation, or the way you treat your family, your spouse, your friends, or the habits you have, whatever; you won’t feel like yourself, like your best self.

The worst part about this is your unconsciousness of being in the unknown. The quality of your life, your social interactions, your psychology, the way you greeted the cashier in the corner shop; there is a reason for all those things and you choose to ignore it. Nothing ever just happens. You are responsible for your life, and when there is no “WHY”, you are lost and you play a secondary role in YOUR life. Let me give you an example: you have a job which pays the bills, but besides that, there isn’t any other reason to keep you in that job, and because of that you become less happy and satisfied with the time you spend in your job, you are more likely to be less productive over time and your mind isn’t present in that moment. You are at work and you think how Sunday’s game with your friends is going to be. You are with your friends and you think the work you haven’t finished. You are not in harmony with yourself and with your spirit. You put off one thing for tomorrow and it becomes next week and next month and next year, and things get worse. You change jobs but you can’t find any that satisfies you; because you haven’t found your “WHY” yet; and one day you say: “I can’t do it anymore, I’m not happy with my life”. Can you guess why?

So, what can we do to find our “WHY”?
Well, the first step is to recognize the problem and decide that you want to solve it. For example, you are not satisfied with the way your body looks and you want to change it. WHY are you not satisfied? Because you aren’t training enough, your nutrition is bad, and you don’t rest properly. That exact “WHY” you must find in your life to change it and to find your calling. YOU are RESPONSIBLE to FIND your WHY and to create your DESTINY.
Search for the reason that will make your life and the life of the people around you better and meaningful, the reason that will serve your values and truth. Your truth is the most powerful weapon you have, and by following the truth you can make the world a better and more inspiring place to live. And I promise you, when you find your “WHY”, you will find happiness. That’s the ultimate goal.
Nevertheless, it won’t happen overnight. In your journey of finding your “WHY”, you will attract happiness, and when it becomes clear to you, happiness will find you.

Speaking for myself, my passion and ”WHY” is to inspire and help people to discover their “WHY” and passion too; because nothing else in the world gives me this unique powerful feeling of contentment, fulfilment and exuberance. As Simon Sinek said: “The goal is not to be perfect by the end. The goal is to be better tomorrow.”
